US Military & Veterans Commemoration Day

A day to recognize and honor soldiers and veterans of all US wars and conflicts

West Virginia Mobile Vietnam Wall - (will be illuminated at night)
This wall includes the names of West Virginians who were KIA, held as POW, and those still MIA. This list includes over 732 names of true heroes that gave their lives in the Vietnam War for their country and this proud State. The “Modern Wall” (1975-2017) is a new addition to include fallen WV soldiers from other wars.

A sign in honor of our Korean Veterans will be displayed.

Wreath Laying Ceremony & Reception on Sun Deck near the river - 1:00 pm at the Wall
Honoring our current military and veterans. Remembering those who are no longer with us.

Presenting of the Colors, 21 Gun Salute & Taps by the Preston County Honor Guard
The WV Patriot Guard Riders will form a Flag Line for the ceremony. Can be cancelled due to funeral priority.
