The Contemporary American Theater Festival is dedicated to producing and developing new American theater. Our goal is to: sustain an artistic process of innovation and daring, tell diverse stories, and to create a profound and ever evolving relationship between the audience and the work. CATF’s commitment to new work is an annual festival of new plays by American playwrights, most often premieres or second or third productions. This year we invite you to thinkfive as we will again offer FIVE new plays in rotating repertory. CATF focuses on plays that deal with contemporary issues that boldly challenge and entertain audiences.

| Augusta Irish/Celtic Concert |

The second of two Irish/Celtic concerts will be held Thursday, July 29, at 8:00 pm (doors open at 7:30) in the Harper-McNeeley Auditorium, Hermanson Campus Center, Davis & Elkins College. This concert will include performances by many of the internationally-known Irish and Celtic artists at Augusta this week: John Whelan, Pauline Conneely, Myron Bretholz, Caitlin Nic Gabhann, Patrick Ourceau, Seamus Connolly, Liz Carroll, Troy MacGillivray, Brian Holleran, Dáithí Sproule, Karen Ashbrook, Eileen Gannon, Kathleen Boyle, Jerry O’Sullivan, Robbie O’Connell, and Joanie Madden. The MC for the evening will be Jim Keenan. There will be an Irish dance immediately following the concert. Caller: Ann McCallum
